Combined, Joe Friel and Adam Zucco have been working with athletes of all levels for over 35 years. Together they have always delivered an unparalleled service to their clients. Their vision was to work together to create a coaching business that allowed them to help more individuals without sacrificing service and quality. In 2006, they formed TrainingBible Coaching to do just that.
Each of the partners brings a unique set of skills and experiences to the table. Joe is a well-known coach, author, speaker and consultant. Adam had been successfully operating one of the largest coaching businesses in the United States out of Chicago. By pooling their talents they realized they could create an exceptional business.
By constantly training their coaching staff in the science and art of training, TrainingBible Coaching is able to provide the highest level of service an athlete can experience. TrainingBible Coaching has worked hard to establish a core of coaches around the country. While athletes always want the best coach, by having coaches across the country, we are able to add a “hometown” feel as well as maintain knowledge of each area’s unique needs and situations.
By late 2007, TrainingBible Coaching had offices across the USA and in South Africa. The reception by athletes has been exceptional. While TrainingBible Coaching is experiencing great growth it continues to operate at a grassroots level on the basic premise of providing unparalleled services to athletes through local, highly trained and experienced coaches.
The TrainingBible Legacy
The name "TrainingBible" came from Joe Friel's popular series of books – The Cyclist's TrainingBible (1995), The Triathletes TrainingBible (1997) and The Mountain Biker's TrainingBible (1998). The first book in the series provided the names to follow for the others. Cycling stage races have commonly provided a "race bible" for the competitors. This provides everything the riders need including detailed course maps, race rules, daily logistics and more. Just as these race bibles were intended to thoroughly prepare the athlete for the logistics of the race, the TrainingBible books were written to completely prepare the athlete for the physical demands of the race.
