Michelle Patterson
TRIATHLETE
In 2004, Michelle competed in her first Ironman-distance race, finishing Ironman Florida. Since then, she has gone on to finish Ironman Brazil (2006), setting a personal record and Miamiman Half Ironman, placing first in her age group and 7th overall for the women. In early 2007, Michelle took on endurance cycling events and placed 2nd in her age group at the Bike Sebring, a 12-hour race totaling 197.5 miles. In addition, she was a 180 S.A.F.E. Ride team member in 2007. This 8-person cycling team rode 1,200 miles in 12 days to raise awareness for the importance of wearing seat belts, using designated drivers or alternate transportation to prevent drunk driving and alcohol-related fatalities, and not drinking when underage. Michelle has been participating in adventure races for the past few months and is now focused on Ironman Arizona in 2008. Watch for her results!
